Senior Environmental Engineer (8/17/10)

This position ensures environmental compliance for the entire company. POSITIONS DEMANDS This position requires the ability to understand environmental regulations related to air, water, and solid waste permits and know how to communicate with all levels of the applicable government agencies and understand how they are interrelated. The position also requires the ability to compile and prepare all routine environmental reports as required by air, water, and solid waste permits, and to revise existing permits and prepare new permits as necessary to ensure compliance. This position must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization and to effectively train employees to ensure that all permit requirements are properly understood. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Environmental, Safety, and Health Manager. It has a seat on the company’s Environmental, Safety, and Health Team for environmental matters. This position interfaces with government agencies, senior managers, plant managers, corporate staff, field personnel, vendors, environmental consultants, and contract engineering and construction firms. The position has no direct reports. ACCOUNTABILITIES & MEASURES Environmental control – compliance with all air, water, and solid waste environmental permits. This position requires a bachelor degree in chemical or environmental engineering, chemistry or equivalent, and at least three years of working experience in the processes noted above. Travel required.

This position interfaces with senior managers, plant managers, corporate staff, field personnel, vendors, safety and environmental consultants, and contract engineering and construction firms. The position has no direct reports. This position requires a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a similar leadership role in an industrial setting. A Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) is required in lieu of experience. This position requires the ability to understand ESH regulations and to develop and manage site-specific policies and procedures to ensure governmental compliance and best practices. Responsible for coordinating site safety training and personnel development in the area of ESH. Must be able to sustain existing safety and environmental processes and programs over time with enthusiasm and energy. This position is a staff position and does not have line authority, and so must be able to use influence within the line organization to successfully perform many required duties.

ESH Trainer (8/17/10)

This position ensures that all environmental, safety and health (ESH) training is effectively delivered for the entire company and coordinates the plant skill based training programs.

This position requires the ability to develop and maintain the ESH training program. It requires the ability to prepare and deliver all applicable environmental and safety training for all company facilities and integrate that training with other existing training programs. The position assesses skill based training programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations on improvements. Must have the ability to train others to deliver environmental and safety training. This position must keep up with all environmental and safety training regulatory requirements by OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies and ensure that the company meets them. The position must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization. This position requires a bachelor degree in safety engineering, industrial hygiene or equivalent, and at least three years of working experience preparing and delivering environmental and safety training.

This position reports to the Environmental, Safety, and Health Manager. It has a seat on the company’s Environmental, Safety, and Health Team. Senior Process Safety Specialist (8/9/10)

Leading oilfield chemicals producer has immediate opening for an experienced process safety engineer. Successful candidate will have at least 8-10 years experience in dealing with process safety issues in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of chemical manufacturing operations needed. Should have knowledge of chemical processing hazards and applicable safeguard measures. Must have good knowledge of PSM regulations and compliance. Should have a working knowledge of industrial fire protection codes and regulations and of generally accepted engineering practices related to process safety. Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Duties: This individual will function as an in-house consultant for the chemical operations both domestic and internationally and will travel to company offices and plants as needed.

Education Required: Engineering degree, either chemical or mechanical.
